Jo, i stumbled across your blog and wondered if you could help or answer a question.
We are looking to tour southern Spain in the summer ( July and August) although with a bit of a difference. We manufacture a range of Gemstone Jewellery, relating to chakra balancing etc. It also looks good too. However we want to sell our wares at markets in Southern Spain during those two months, I have identified some markets in your area ( flea markets or Rastros and car boot type sales.
Questions ...Do we need a license or have to pay to sell at these things or can we just pitch up and Set up.
Is street selling or beach selling allowed or just tolerated or illegal, and if allowed is it organised to permit level.
And where along the coast would be the best markets or towns to sell.
Our Spanish is non existant, although we have the books out.
If you can help i would be very grateful, although i understand its a bit more technical than most questions you might get asked, but i am just trying to find somewhere to start
thanks in advance
Donald
Hi Donald
Thank you for your email.
Markets are really the only thing Im not sure about. I knew people that wanted to get a pitch at Puerto Banus market on a saturday and it was very difficult.
THere are Markets and Carboot sales every day / week So you could definately do the car boot sale. I know there is one at Sabanillas every sunday.
There are alot of street sellers, although it seems the police are trying to get rid of them.
I will post your question up and see if anyone comes back with some more information.
If you have any travel question you can post them on www.aiport-guide-forums.com
