Our car got broken into whilst we were on holiday in Portugal.
Over 1,000€uros worth of stuff stolen, plus the window, time etc etc.
Thought on the good side the we were all ok and that we will be covered if not on car insurance on our home insurance.
So today all I have done is try and sort it out and found out today that neither car Linea Directa nor Ocasa Home Insurance will cover us.
So Im wondering what do they actually cover for and whats the point of it.
Read your policies and think of all the possible scenarios and ask direct questions to your insurer.
If you have a good insurer please do let me know.

Oh dear Jo. What bad luck.
So are you saying that if someone breaks into your car you're not insured for that? That seems a bit odd doesn't it? Was it because you were in a foreign country?

Sorry to hear you got broken into. I think that is crap that neither policies cover you. Like you say what do they cover you for? I am very cynical about insurance policies on the whole to be honest.
