Iron Trips the Electric in Spain

Since we have lived here I have been through so many irons its unbeleivable.

My iron now which I can no longer use as every time I turn it on it trips all the electric in the house.

Ive just found the reciept and I paid 74€uros for it only 2 years ago 24th August 2006.

I also bought a kettle at the same time and funnily enough this didnt last long either and have since had to replace it.

Does anyone else have the same problems? Is it the water or something to do with the electricity as I have read here http://www.fixya.com/support/t2091903-iron_tripping_electric

I fed up wasting money, I remember people having irons for 20 & 30 years!
