Saturday - what an awful day, raining all day. We had tickets for Mayumana in the evening at 8pm and I wasnt looking forward to the drive up to Malaga on that road.
We got there about 7.15 to Teatro Cervantes, queued up to give my credit card to get my tickets.
It started at 8pm....it went dark and then kind of stayed that way for 5 minutes...technical hitch! Not great with a 5 year old. Constantly saying whens it going to start whens it going to start.
Finally it started and WOW!
There were I think 11 people altogether in this show, it was just AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, EXCITING, BREATHTAKING - everything great!
Its hard to explain but its singing and dancing but they bang on boxes, sticks, even make tunes out of water. They get the audience really involved in clapping and singing or even beat boxing in a couple of cases.
They even filmed some of the audience doing this and at the end had made a video of them all...it was brilliant.
I was worried that it wasnt for children as I booked my little girl 5.5 years a ticket, but it was fine for her. She a loved it too and was clapping away and laughing too. She loved it and still talking about the show.
If it comes to a theatre near you and you havent seen it - go!
