Hi G,
I used Dr Berral and also Dr Benito, both in Marbella. I really like Dr Benito and still see him. Berral is nice too. These are both private so you pay as you go unless you have health insurance that will cover you but normally if youve had policy for 10 months.
YOu could also go to www.mumsinspain.com claire who runs the forum lots of other mums and mums to be. Re Midwife....you could try contact Ann Halpenny on Tel: 630 231 037 Not too sure if she is still working as shes just had babies of her own. Tell her jo from Nueva Andlaucia Life passed you her number.
I prefer to see midwives. The gynis will tell you you must go for this scan that scan, but it depends on how you feel. IN uk you only have 2 scans maybe 3. Here, you could have one everyweek...so its down to you. You can become very paranoid that somethings wrong and its so easy just to go and pay for one. This should be enough info to get you through. Hospitals...costa del sol which is NHS and Hospten and USP private - both heard very good. Me I had my daughter in CDS.
I hope this helps. Do let me know how you get on.
Congratualtions.
Regards
Joanne
