We are delighted to announce our forthcoming Wedding Expo in the beautiful Palacio de L Paz in Fuengirola Nov 14th & 15th 2009. Cleverly timed to capitalize on the normally quiet pre-Xmas period, it will be the first large-scale English-speaking event of its kind on the Costa. But definitely NOT the last! Because we plan to make it an essential annual fixture in the Wedding trade calendar …one that will grow year on year.
This year’s event, will feature 60 Exhibitors, every one of them a specialist in their field .They include wedding venues and guest accommodation experts, bridal dress and menswear outlets, cakes and catering companies, photographers, floral and decoration designers, in-church and reception entertainment agencies, transport and communications options and perhaps most importantly of all, Wedding Planners and companies expert in managing every aspect of your special day.
What we’re offering in effect is a one-stop Wedding Superstore catering to every need and nuanced market niche of the ever-expanding nuptials industry. Central to the event will be a series of professionally-choreographed fashion shows maximising the Palacio’s impressive stage-set up. While in the Main Hall visitors will enjoy in-stall demos of Exhibitors’ products and services and top tips on subjects from hair and make-up to video-production.
But as if this wasn’t enough, the weekend will also feature a full programme of wedding-oriented entertainment. Singers and musicians of all styles from opera to big band, from classical to rock, will perform live on-stage, making good use of the arena’s West End-standard sound and lighting system. So whatever you imagine your perfect wedding soundtrack to be, we’ve got it covered!
As a final flourish, the ‘icing on the cake’ if you like, we’ve created a specially-devised 20 minute romantic Celtic spectacle! Imagine Riverdance crossed with Romeo & Juliet! With pipers, dancers, tribal warriors, and a faerie Princess! The whole joyous scenario topped off with a swooning ‘Lord of the Rings’ soundtrack, stunning landscape projections and a heart-wrenching Romantic climax!
Outside the main arena, we can also boast a second, mini-event. One to keep the boys happy. An exhibition of classic cars and motorbikes. So whether Visitors dream of getting to their weddings in 5-star style or simply fancy an ogle at these sleek dream-machines this will give them a further incentive to come along and take part.
Several sponsors have already identified our Expo as the type of event the Costa should be encouraging. They recognise that in a time of crisis it makes sense to explore new markets and expand industries that capitalise on our unique strengths, especially our wonderful weather and luxurious Mediterranean setting! We are the ideal destination for weddings in Europe and fantastically well-placed to develop our already dynamic English-speaking wedding market (UK & Ireland). But we also have an emergent market here in our own place in the sun in the shape of a growing population of 2nd and 3rd generation English speakers of marriageable age!
