We met up with some friends yesterday for lunch who are heading back to the UK very soon. We didnt want to spend a fortune so we thought we´d try Chateaubriant again in La Campana. We used to go there alot.
We took the menu del dia which has shot up from 7€ to 9€! But for 3 courses and a drink its superb value.
There was a choice of salads to start, then I took the entrecote & chips (which was OK - not fab but for 9€ tasted absolutely fine), others had lasagne which was very good, then a choice of Profiteroles, Tiramisu or Chocolate Cake for dessert - all of which were really good.
Then everyone had a glass of wine a bottle of water, followed by teas & coffees and for 4 of us the bill was a whopping 44€uros.
Do book for lunch as it was full in there.

We have been back to this restaurant lots of times.
Today I had salmon salad, lasagna and profiteroles with some bread and bottle of water 9€uros. Amazing value.
Most of the time the food is good, or if its not, for 9€ you´re not so bothered. The one thing I know not to take is the Steak...normally very chewy.
But generally all the starters are great, lasagna, bolognese, fish is all good and puddings normally very good too.
