We were invited to Terrasana tonight for a tasting session of their new menu.
If you´ve read my blog over the years you will know that Ive had a love hate relationship with Terrasana. This is the problem with Franchises though - and how important consistancy is - The food, The Staff, The Price.
Golden Mile Terrasana is proabably my favourite one, as every week they have live music which is the one thing many places lack here.
So we arrived at 8pm and took a table outside as it was full inside. Never seen it so busy! First plate to come was the Glazed Salmon and Potatoe Cake which I thought was tortilla, then the most delicious Burger in a Bun with Cheese and rocket and other yummy bits. This was my favourite dish.
Another dish that came along was Chicken Satay which was really nice and different as it was crunchy on the outside too. Next up was the Lamb with Rice - I liked the lamb but the rice was probably the one thing that I didnt Love. Then some Beef with Balsamic Mushrooms and spinach which was also very good. Oh and there were Prawns in Tempura which my husband said were Amazing - Im intolerant to them so couldnt try for myself.
They have changed the main courses and also looked at their prices too. The burger which was very good would normally be served with Chips was priced 12.50€ - not bad price considering Yanks is around 14€ & Hard Rock for their very very basic burger is around 10€. Other main courses were 13 & 14€ with the most expensive being the Rib Eye Steak at around 17€.
The atmosphere was really nice, nice people, great band on stage and good food. Having looked around their notice boards they really are doing alot of things, working with local farmers, selling the local produce in their Eco Shop adjoining, and doing many things for charity - it really is good positive stuff they are doing. They also have Cooking Classes for kids & adults too.
Every Thursday Night from 9pm they have live music too but do call to check just incase it changes. But definately a really nice place to go for a casual dinner in a lively place.
Whilst I have many moans about some of the restaurants here, some of them really are trying to make things works in these hard times and looking at their menus, food and prices.
Good luck with the new menu.
