About 1 week ago my good friend from www.eyeonspain.com mentioned to me about Escuela de Idiomas Oficiales...the offical school of Languages run by the Ayuntamiento.
They have them all over Spain and its really cheap for the year. You dont need to be on low income...just to live here and have NIE Number.
So I found the office in Marbella, spoke to the secretary who said they were full but left my name and number and they said they will call me.
Unbeleivable they called to say come the next day. I went along, gave my name etc, Teacher gives you your class. Then I filled in a form, had to pay the money at the bank, take the form back to the school and I started on Monday.
Its a big group of about 15 to 20 people but the teacher is very good so far. Its levels and you do take tests and continue up.
It was 68€uros yes just 68€ and you can learn Spanish, French, German, Arabic or English. Amazing!
So if you want to learn Spanish and money has been the problem, there are no excuses now.
The only problem may be that they dont have space as you are supposed to apply in the March to start in September.
