La Campana, Nueva Andalucia Los Farolillos & Il Ristorante

Yesterday we tried to book lunch out Il Ristorante in La Campana, but they were fully booked.  So we went to our old favourite Los Farolillos.

Los Farolillos was normally packed...at 1pm with English and then 2pm with Spanish every single day.  Yesterday it was empty and we were the only ones in there most of the time.

Food is still good and great value for money.

5 of us, 2 x Pil Pil, 1 x Salad, 3 times Escalope Milanese, 1 x pasta with tomato sauce, 1 x chicken with tarragon, bread, 1 x pudding, 3 x coffees and a couple of beers and tinto verano and the bill was 75€uros.

The escalope milanese is delicious!

The sad thing about driving into La Campana are the big bars / restaurants on the right...they are all closed.  These used to be packed with builders and other workers / people for lunches.  All 3 big bars are closed.  1 is now a driving school which speaks Spanish and English.

Seeing this change is sad.  With no more building allowed, no more workers are needed therefore they dont take lunch meaning restaurant has no customers...the domino effect  is incredible.
