If you need wood for your fire there are lots of places to order from, you will see adverts in the paper, in shop windows and just on trees and posts as you drive.
What most of them will say is "VENTA DE LEÑA"
There is Oak Wood which is ENCINA or Olive which is OLIVA. Encina seems to be slightly more expensive. There is also Almendro which I havent used yet.
I have used both and find them both pretty good. As long as its dry. Sometimes the problem is that much of the wood comes in very big pieces making it hard for the fire to get going. I personally have watched numerous videos on How to Start a Wood Fire and id say 80% of the time I get one going ok.
Before I have used El Chaparral on the N340 towards Estepona. Tel 606 430 355
I normally pay 87.50 for a cubic metre of Encina...or sometimes mixed. Then they charge an extra charge for actually bringing it to your house could be anything from 5€uros. Normally 7€ to me.
My friend just ordered wood from another person who she found cheaper, so I just tried him too.
Venta de Leña Telephone 951 240 609 or 622 679 933. For Oak a cubic metre is 65€ or mixed Oak & Olive for 70€. Small Sac of Sticks around 2€. He didnt charge to bring the wood into the house...but I did give a tip as its hard work.
Once you stack the wood in the chosen place you get to know what a cubic metre looks like. Normally it lasts us a month.
